Mary Akimoto brings strategic and organisational development expertise. She has spent most of her career leading change - as a management team member and as consultant.

Cross-border business experience has helped her to develop a pragmatic, but facilitative approach to client assignments. Her career began by producing financial models at Mitsui OSK in Japan. In Switzerland, she headed up corporate strategy for a Swiss shipping firm and led a comprehensive reengineering initiative. She was responsible on a global scale for culture change and restructuring activities at former UK bluechip, Inchcape plc.

Mary brings understanding of both external and internal engagement of customers and employees respectively. In the Organisational Effectiveness practice of Hewitt Associates, an HR consultancy, she focused on strategy, culture change, leadership development and M&A integration. She was a management team member of The Foundation, a niche consultancy that helps clients deliver strategic and organisational change around their customers. She is currently a partner at Ilyas Jarrett & Co – a research driven consultancy on strategic change. Her clients have included Roche, Marks&Spencer, Cooperative Financial Services, Old Mutual, Alstom, Environment Agency, and London Business School.

She has an MBA from Georgetown University and BA in Economics and Spanish from St. Olaf College, USA.

Prior to his role as a consultant working with complex organisations across the private, public and voluntary sectors, for many years he was a leadership practitioner within commercial organisations and has also undertaken a Masters in Leadership Studies at the University of Exeter. From his experiences over the years, Graham has developed a passion for enabling collective leadership across organisations because, as he often points out, "...it’s the only form of leadership that is truly capable of meeting the unfolding needs of the organisation, its stakeholders and staff."

In his consultancy work, Graham provides executive coaching, top team support and leadership development for some of the UK’s major organisations. He is also a leading contributor to developing the concept, thinking and practice of 'The Leaderful Organisation'.

Simon Spiller

Simon Spiller

Simon brings 20 years of experience in consulting, human resources and general management. He has worked globally for blue-chip companies, as well as established and run an outdoor corporate leadership development centre in the USA and an outsourcing centre in Poland.

Working with Boards and top teams, Simon has advised a wide range of clients including Alfred McAlpine, Allstate Insurance, Arthur Andersen, British Airways, BBC, Consumer Association, Dow Chemicals, Eli Lilly, Gan Life, IBM, Old Mutual, SITA, Subaru Isuzu, and Sun Microsystems.

Until recently, Simon was Director of Enterprise at Bicton College in Devon, where he held responsibility for all commercial activity. During his tenure at the College he founded the Bicton Rural Academy, a high growth training business offering adults programmes and skills development in rural living, outdoor leisure and environmental conservation.

He joined Bicton from a global consulting and outsourcing company where he held senior leadership roles in consulting, operations and organisation development. One of his final assignments with there was as General Manager for Poland, where he set up and ran an outsourcing centre in Krakow. Prior to that, he held positions within both the manufacturing and professional services sectors, and worked in the US and Europe on corporate leadership development and business improvement projects.

Simon started his career as the Founder and Managing Director of the Tecumseh Leadership Center in Indiana, USA. The centre offers outdoor experiential leadership development experiences for leadership teams from blue-chip companies and both the public and voluntary sectors.

Simon holds a BSc in Sociology from the University of Bristol.

Nigel Evans

Nigel Evans

Nigel has specialised as a Business Psychologist and has more than 15 years experience providing leading consulting services to companies in the UK and internationally (including Aviva, BBC, Nokia, UBS and numerous Government Departments).

His career to date has included extensive consulting, training, research and coaching roles working at senior levels.

He is a recognised expert in psychometrics, covering both training and practice. He holds the highest Occupational Test Registration issued by the British Psychological Society (BPS), and is an Executive Board member of the Psychological Test Centre, which governs test standards. He is continuously involved with the delivery of assessment/development processes and executive events, which include the novel design of exercises and use of modern tools to simulate job performance.

Having conducted assignments in over 20 countries, Nigel enjoys experiencing different national culture and cuisine when travelling for business or pleasure. At home in the Cotswolds he relaxes by entertaining his young family and running a craft brewery.

Nigel is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist by the BPS. He holds a Masters in Organizational Psychology (University of Bristol), and Bachelors in Psychology (University of Hull).
